Are you an artist that can create music that is 'felt'. That evokes emotion, creates a mood, or sets the scene of the story being sung.
We are looking for like-minded artist who have a caring for people and who believe their talents are ready to be used to help those who have lost hope.
Our Approach
This isn't a band. We're story tellers. This is a project that changes with each 'story' we write a song for. This gives us freedom to create songs and arrangements with no limitations of a specific genre of music. Where the story takes us is where we go in capturing the breadth and width of emotions.
The Music
The focus is the Story.
The person who's story we're writing for went through specific emotions at the time they went through their life experience. Lyrically we want to tell their story. To take the journey with them through each page of their story so we're able to understand how to convey what they felt both in words and musically.
Musically think of it as the soundtrack of their life. What instrument(s) convey the mood or emotion at a given part of the story? Is that a melancholy wind instrument, piano, cello? Is it an angry E chord?
We can use a simple country arrangement if that what the story is lends itself to. The story may have a broad range of emotions and take us on a progressive route, blending different genre's or time signatures taking the listener to that place and to feel that same emotion.
Vocalist Tell the Story
As much as a beautiful voice is appreciated our approach to vocals is going to focus on how the vocalist can convey the pain, or hurt of the person who's story we're telling. How do you sing hope, or the rejoicing of the person who has overcome?
We will take the vocals in much the same direction as the instruments during the arrangement that could lend itself to a layered chorus of ladies singing off in the distance or even the subtle wicked voice of thought and fear creeping in.
